Early Life
Dhruv Jurel was born on 21 January 2001 in Agra, Uttar Pradesh. His full name is Dhruv Chand Jurel. Dhruv wants to be an Officer as his father was. But when he saw some people playing cricket for the first time in the army camp. After this, Dhruv’s inclination towards cricket started increasing.
Then he started playing cricket in a school camp. Now he only wants to become a cricketer. At the early age of 12, he started playing brilliant cricketing shots in his school.
However, during this time Dhruv had lied to his father that he was only learning swimming in school, but when his father came to know that Dhruv had also enrolled in cricket coaching, then he had to face his father’s anger.
When his father saw his son’s growing interest in cricket, allowed him to play cricket. He also took a loan of some money and got Dhruv bat. However, the financial condition of his house was not good. In such a situation, his father wanted him to stop playing cricket and concentrate on getting a government job.
For this reason, he couldn’t buy a cricket kit for him. Then Dhruv tells his father that if he stops him from playing cricket he could leave home. In this situation, her mother sold her gold chain and bought a cricket kit for her son.
Dhruv trained at Springdale Cricket Academy, Agra under coach Parvendra Yadav, and at Aster Cricket Academy, Noida under coach Abhay Singh. Later seeing her son’s talent and skills in cricket he also started supporting him.

Jurel’s Cricket Career
In the year 2014, under-17 school National T20 championship he played 6 matches and scored more than 600 plus runs 4 centuries and 2 half centuries.
After that, in the 2015 Under-14 Raj Singh Dungarpur Trophy, he scored 152 runs for Uttar Pradesh and scored 137 runs in the final against Madhya Pradesh.
In the 2018-19 Cooch Behar Trophy, he scored 762 runs and took 51 catches in 11 matches.
Domestic Cricket Career–
He played youth cricket for Uttar Pradesh’s U-14, U-16 and U-19 teams. On 10 January 2021, Jurel made his T-20 debut in the 2021-22 Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy. In his first match against Punjab, he scored 23 runs off 30 balls.
He made his first-class debut on 17 February 2022 against Vidarbha at Sultanpur in the 2021–22 Ranji Trophy. In the first innings of his match, he smashed 11 boundaries and scored 64 runs, while he got out on 4 runs in his second innings.
After that, he was added to the India A squad for the ACC Men’s Emerging Asia Cup. On 14 July 2023, he started his List A career in the ACC Men’s Emerging Cup against UAE A. However, he did not get any chance to bat in this match.
Dhruv played 10 matches in List A career where he scored 189 runs at an average of 47.25. On December 2022, in a List A match against Nagaland he played 249 runs innings. During his outstanding innings in the middle order, he gains a spot for everyone.
International Cricket Career
In this year January 2024, he was added to the squad for the test series against England for the first two matches. He was selected in the role of third wicket-keeper in the team. Now he was ready to play and show his excellence.

In February 2022, Rajasthan Royals bought him for 20 lakhs base price in Mega Auction. In this season he did not get any chance to bat. However, the Rajasthan franchise retained him in the team for the next season.
Dhruv Jurel made his IPL debut on 5 April 2023 against Punjab Kings. He made his debut as an impact player in IPL in the first match where he scored 32 runs with 2 sixes and 3 boundaries in 15 balls.
