Josh Reginald Hazlewood, born 8 January 1991, is an Australian international cricketer. He is a tall pace bowler known for his accuracy and has been compared to former Australian paceman Glenn McGrath. In the ICC Men’s Players Rankings, he currently holds the second position in ODI, seventh in T20, and second in Test. He is part of many times when Australia lifted the World Cup titles whether its a 2015 Cricket World Cup, 2021 T20 World Cup or 2023 ICC Cricket World Cup.

Hazlewood’s outstanding performances in the New South Wales team in the Australian domestic cricket led him to enter the Australian international cricket team. He frequently engaged with his elder in fierce backyard cricket matches.

Hazlewood and Steven Smith became a part of controversy during Brendon McCullum’s farewell test match in February 2016. The New Zealand vice-captain, Kane Williamson, was given not-out after an LBW appeal by Josh Hazlewood. Infuriated with the Umpire’s decision, Hazlewood went for a decision review.
Even after seeing the replay on the big screen, and the subsequent not-out confirmation, Australians led by Smith were left incensed with the skipper questioning the call. Hazlewood on his part was caught by the stump microphone as saying: “Who the f*** is the third umpire?”
