Kona Srikar Bharat is an Indian international cricketer who plays wicket-keeper batsman for the Indian cricket team, Andhra in domestic cricket, and Kolkata Knight Riders in the IPL. In February 2023, he made his Test debut for India against Australia. In February 2015, he became the first wicket-keeper batsman to score a triple hundred in the Ranji Trophy.

KS Bharat was born on 3 October 1993 in Visakhapatnam, India. He started playing cricket at an early age. He is used to being very naughty when he played cricket in his street in childhood he broke his neighbour’s window glasses they would come into his house and complain about him.
While looking at Bharat’s naughty activities his parents got frustrated and then decided to put him in a cricket academy to keep him away from his mischievous activities. Then his father enrolled him as a ball boy in a cricket club.
Then after this Bharat struggled a lot and focused on his cricket career. He started practicing in nets when he was only 7 to 8 years of age.
When KS Bharat was 12, his coach Mr. J. Krishna Rao recognized his talent and inspired him to become a wicketkeeper batsman.
Based on his talent, KS Bharat made it to the Andhra Pradesh Under-13 team and then performed well at the Under-16 and Under-19 levels.
KS Bharat received his early education from Visakhapatnam. He completed his schooling at St. Aloysius High School, Visakhapatnam. After this, he obtained a B.Com degree from Dr. Lankapalli Bullaiah College.

On 5 August 2020, Indian wicketkeeper-batsman KS Bharat got married to his longtime girlfriend Anjali Nedunuri. After dating each other for about 10 years, they married.
Both of them have been friends since his childhood school and their friendship grew into love. During the Corona pandemic, the couple took seven rounds in a small wedding ceremony in the presence of very close people.
His wife Anjali is a resident of Visakhapatnam who is currently a mechanical engineer in the Research and Development Department.
KS Bharat Domestic Cricket Career:
On 20 February 2012, KS Bharat made his List-A debut for Andhra Pradesh in the 2012–13 Vijay Hazare Trophy. He played his first List A match against Tamil Nadu in Bengaluru. He returned to the pavilion after scoring only one run.
On 29 December 2012, Bharat made his first-class debut for Andhra Pradesh in the 2012–13 Ranji Trophy. In his very first match against Kerala, he scored only 8 runs in his first innings and 37 runs in the second innings with the help of 3 sixes and four boundaries.
Bharat made his T20 debut against Tamil Nadu in the 2013 Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy, on 17 March 2013, where he scored 15 runs off 21 balls.
In the 2014-15 Ranji season, Shrikar Bharat came to public attention after scoring 758 runs at an average of 54.
In February 2015, he became the only wicket-keeper batsman to score a triple century in the Ranji Trophy.
In the 2021 Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy Bharat scored 62 runs in 34 balls against Puducherry at the Wankhede Stadium.
In July 2018, he was added to India’s Blue squad for the 2018–19 Duleep Trophy.
KS Bharat IPL Career:
In the 2015 Year IPL season KS Bharat was bought by Delhi Daredevils for 10 lakh. However, he was released before the next season without playing a single match.
After six years, in the 2021 IPL auction, Royal Challengers bought KS Bharat for Rs 20 lakh. He made his IPL debut against Kolkata Knight Riders on 20 September 2021 where he scored 16 runs in 19 balls.
On 8 October 2021, Bharat made headlines by hitting six on the last ball against Delhi Capitals, when Royal Challengers needed 5 runs to win.
In the 2021 IPL season, he played 8 matches where he scored 191 runs at an average of 38.20.
In the next year in the 2022 IPL season, Delhi Capitals bought him for Rs 2 crore in the IPL mega auction. He played only two matches in the 2022 season, but could not bat and was released before the next season.
Then after this, he was signed by Gujarat Titans for Rs 1.2 crore in the 2023 IPL auction, but he did not get a chance to play in that season too and was released before the next season.
In December 2023, Kolkata Knight Riders added Bharat to the squad in the 2024 IPL Auction at a base price of 50 lakh. He will be seen playing in a KKR jersey in the 2024 IPL.
KS Bharat International Cricket Career:
In November 2019 KS Bharat was added to the Indian Test squad for the first time as a replacement for Wriddiman Saha in the second Test against Bangladesh.
In January 2020, he was included in the Indian Team squad for the ODI series against Australia following the injury to Rishabh Pant.
Bharat was named as a standby player in the Test series against England in January 2021.
Later Bharat was included in the Team as the wicketkeeper in the first Test against New Zealand in November 2021 when Wriddiman Saha got injured. In this match, he took two catches and stumped Tom Latham.
In February 2022, he was selected in the Indian Test team for the series against Sri Lanka. However, he did not get any chance to play. He was again named in India’s Test squad against England in May 2022.
On 9 February 2023, he got his chance to make his first test match debut against Australia in Nagpur. He came into the team in place of the injured Rishabh Pant.
In his first test match, he played an innings of 8 runs in 10 balls. Bharat has played 5 test matches so far and has scored 129 runs at an average of 18.42.
In January 2024, he was selected for India’s squad for the test series against England. In the first test, he scored 41 runs in the first innings and 28 runs in the second innings. He also affected 4 dismissals during the match.
