Early Life
Samit is the elder son of Former Indian cricket team legend batsman, Rahul Dravid, who inspired him to become a cricketer.
His son has been fond of cricket since childhood, after looking at his hard work and Samit’s patience in cricket. He wanted his son to be a cricketer who plays for the Indian team.
Unlike his father, who was known to be, “The Wall” of the Indian cricket team, with his defensive skills, Samit is an attacking batsman.

Samit Dravid Cricket Career
In April 2016, Samit’s batting talent came first highlighted when he smashed 125 runs in an Under-14 game against Frank Anthony Public School.
In January 2018, he again smashed a century in the Karnataka State Cricket Association’s (KSCA) BTR Cup Under-14 Inter-School tournament. He also scored 150 runs for Mallya Aditi International School against Vivekananda School.
Samit, a pace-bowling all-rounder, is currently playing for Mysore Warriors in the ongoing KSCA Maharaja T20 trophy in Bengaluru.
However, his performance so far in the competition has been underwhelming. With the bat, he has only managed to score 82 runs from 7 innings with the highest score of 33, and he is yet to bowl in the tournament.
However, earlier this year, Samit performed quite well in the Cooch Behar Trophy and was a key figure in the Karnataka side that went on to achieve their maiden title triumph.
The 18-year-old Samit made 362 runs from eight matches and his 98 runs against Jammu and Kashmir stood out for its quality and fluency. Samit also had a memorable tournament with the ball, where he claimed 16 scalps in 8 matches.
