Shivam Dube was born on 26 June 1993 in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India. He is not from a rich background. He liked to play cricket in his childhood and soon at the early age of 14, he stopped playing cricket as he was overweight and unable to work on his fitness due to financial constraints.
He pursued cricket 4 years later with the help of his uncle “Ramesh Dube” and cousin “Rajiv Dube” then after he worked so hard on his fitness, he returned to play at the age of 19 and was soon selected for the Mumbai Under-23s.
He learned professional cricket under the guidance of coach Satish Samant at Chandrakant Pandit Cricket Academy, Andheri West, Mumbai.

Domestic Carrer
Dube made his T-20 debut for Mumbai in the 2015–16 Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy on 18 January 2016. He made his List A debut for Mumbai in the 2016–17 Vijay Hazare Trophy on 25 February 2017.
In the 2017–18 Ranji Trophy on 7 December 2017, he made his first-class debut for Mumbai where he took his maiden five-wicket haul in first-class cricket.
On 2 November 2018–19 Ranji Trophy, in Mumbai’s match against Railways he scored his maiden century in first-class cricket. And after in his next match, against Karnataka, he took another five-wicket haul, with seven wickets for 54 runs.
On 17 December 2018, in the Ranji Trophy match against Baroda, Dube hit five sixes in one over. It was the second he had scored five sixes in an over against Pravin Tambe in the Mumbai T20 League in March and also named player of the tournament.
In the Ranji Trophy in 2018, he was the leading wicket-taker for Mumbai with 23 dismissals in eight matches.
IPL Carrer
In December 2018, he was bought by the Royal Challengers Bangalore in the player auction for the 2019 Indian Premier League at 5 crore while his base prize is 50 lakh. On 23 March 2019, Dubey made his IPL debut against Chennai Super Kings.
However, he did not get many chances to play but he scored 40 runs in 4 matches. But the 2020 IPL season was a successful season for him, where he played 11 matches for Bangalore and took 4 wickets while scoring 129 runs.
In February 2021, before the 2021 IPL auction Dube was bought by Rajasthan Royals for 4.40 crore. In this IPL season, he played 9 matches where he scored 230 runs at an average of 28.75.
After the 2021 IPL, he was bought by Chennai Super Kings in the Indian Premier Mega Auction 2022 tournament for 4 crore. In the IPL 2022 season, he played a total of 11 matches and scored 289 runs with an average of 28. 90.

International Cricket Carrer
T20I Carrer–
In October 2019, Dube was named in India’s Twenty20 International (T20I) squad for their series against Bangladesh. He made his T20I debut for India, against Bangladesh, on 3 November 2019 where he scored only a single run and got out.
But in the final match of the series in Nagpur, he played a good handy knock and took 3 wickets and gave 30 runs, with the help of his performance his team won the match and the series at 2-1.
At the current time, Shivam Dube played 20 T20I matches and scored 275 runs with an average of 45.83 at a strike of 149.46 where his highest score is 63. While in his bowling, in 20 matches he took 8 wickets with an average of 41.88 where his economy is 9.71.
On 11 January 2024, in the first T20I match for India against Afghanistan, he scored 60 runs off 40 balls and took a wicket while giving away 9 runs and becoming the fourth Indian cricketer, scoring a half-century along with a wicket in a T20I match.
On 14 January 2024, in the 2nd T20I match against Afghanistan he again smashed his second fifty and scored 63 runs off just 32 deliveries or took 1 wicket in his bowling.
ODI Carrer–
In November 2019, Dube was named in India’s One Day International (ODI) squad for their series against the West Indies. He made his ODI debut for India, against the West Indies, on 15 December 2019.
On 15 December 2019, he played an only match in Chennai against West Indies where he scored only 9 runs and was out by Kemo Paul. While talking about his bowling performance was poor as he gave 68 runs in just 7.5 overs and not was been able to take even a single wicket.
After that, he has not been given any chances for the ODI team. His ODI career was not as good as T20I.
