IPL 2023 Winner: Chennai Super Kings:

Chennai Super Kings defeated Gujarat Titans by five wickets in the IPL 2023 in a rain-affected match at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. Chasing a hefty target of 215 runs against GT, CSK made a successful run chase with four runs on the board in the first over. Shortly, after the match was stopped due to rain with only one over & three balls.

IPL 2022 Winner: Gujarat Titans

The final match of Tata IPL 2022 was played between Gujarat Titans (GT) and Rajasthan Royals (RR) where Gujarat Titans won the final match of IPL 2022 by 7 wickets. Jos Buttler is the highest run-scorer in the 2022 IPL season. He scored 863 runs in 17 matches 4 centuries and 4 half-centuries. He also won the Most Valuable Player of the Season Award.

IPL 2021 Winner: Chennai Super Kings:

In the final match of the Indian Premier League -2021 season, Chennai Super Kings (CSK) won the title for the fourth time by defeating Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR). Batting first after losing the toss, Chennai scored 192 runs losing 3 wickets. In that match, Faf Du Plessis played a helpful innings of 86 runs while Moeen Ali had an unbeaten 37 runs. In reply, despite having a great start they could not go beyond 165/9. Shardul Thakur took a maximum of 3 wickets for CSK.

IPL 2020 Winner: Mumbai Indians:

This time it was the second consecutive and fifth time in total when Mumbai Indians won the IPL title. The final match was played between Mumbai Indians and Delhi Capitals where Mumbai beat Delhi by five wickets. In that year, Mumbai Indians also won the Paytm Fairplay Award.

IPL 2019 Winner: Mumbai Indians:

The 2019 IPL final is the Clash between Mumbai Indians and the Chennai Super Kings it was a very exciting and thrilling match as the match went down to the last ball, after which it went into a Super Over where Shardul Thakur failed to counter Malinga’s off-cutter. Mumbai Indians won the match and secured the fourth IPL title and became the Most Successful team in IPL history.

IPL 2018 Winner: Chennai Super Kings:

Chennai Super Kings became the second team to win more than two IPL trophies. Experienced Ambati Rayudu and Shane Watson were the batting backbone of this team. Dhoni played the role of the best finisher this time too as like always. The final of the 2018 IPL season is between CSK vs SRH. In that match, SRH set a target of 179 for CSK, while in reply Chennai Super Kings won the match by 8 wickets and 9 balls left.

IPL 2017 Winner: Mumbai Indians:

Mumbai Indians became the first team in IPL history to win the title twice. He got his first win in 2013 and second in 2015. The 2017 IPL clash was between Mumbai Indians and Rising Pune Super Giants. It was a very thrilling match where while Mumbai played first and set the lowest target of 129 for RPS, in reply RPS hardly managed to chase the target and was defeated by 1 run. IPL 2016 Winner: Sunrisers Hyderabad:

The IPL 2016 final was between SRH and RCB where the Sunrisers Hyderabad team was successful in winning the final against Royal Challengers Bangalore by just 8 runs. David Warner, as captain, led the team to victory in the season. However, Virat Kohli – AB de Villiers partnership played an important role in RCB matches throughout the season. They both are the backbone of the RCB team in that season. Virat Kohli scored 4 centuries and 7 half-centuries in 16 innings in that season, so there should be no doubt that Kohli was the winner of the orange cap that season.

IPL 2015 Winner: Mumbai Indians:

This was the second time when Mumbai Indians won the IPL title and became the third team after CSK and KKR to win the title more than once this season. Mumbai Indians’ better balance again helped them win the trophy. Simmons, Rohit Sharma, Ambati Rayudu, and Kieron Pollard are the backbone of the batting units and Lasith Malinga leads the bowling unit. In that season, Malinga took 24 wickets but could not win the Purple Cap because it was Dwayne Bravo who won the Cap and took 2 more wickets than Malinga.

IPL 2014 Winner: Kolkata Knight Riders:

The final clash of the IPL 2014 season is between Kolkata Knight Riders and Punjab Kings, it’s a high-scoring game where Punjab gives a target of 200 for KKR. In reply, KKR batting lineup managed to chase down the target by 3 wickets with 3 balls remaining. It was hero Manish Pandey who played an important knock of 94 runs in 50 balls and helped his team to victory. KKR’s Robin Uthappa won the Orange Cap for scoring 660 runs in 16 innings in the season.

Mumbai Indians who the IPL title for the first time under the captaincy of Rohit Sharma who led the team to victory by defeating Chennai Super Kings by 23 runs and was capable of defending a target of 149 runs. Kieron Pollard, Lasith Malinga Mitchell Johnson and other members of the team’s playing eleven gave their best in the victory.

IPL 2012 Winner: Kolkata Knight Riders:

Kolkata Knight Riders defeated last year’s champions Chennai Super Kings in the final. KKR batsman chased down the target of 190 runs in the final, they won the match by 5 wickets with 2 balls left. Bisla played a key role with a brilliant knock of 89 runs in 48 deliveries. Suresh Raina’s 73 runs in 38 balls failed to keep KKR away from victory.

Chennai Super Kings became the first IPL team in history to win back-to-back finals. They won the final match by 58 runs in defending a huge target of 205 runs. Last year’s champions were successful in defending their title from RCB.
