Disney+ Hotstar announced on Wednesday that smartphone users in India will be able to watch this year’s ICC Men’s T20 Cricket World Cup for free on the OTT platform, a format they used during the ODI World Cup and Asia Cup last year, which drew record numbers of viewers. The much anticipated ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024 will be held in the United States and the Caribbean beginning on June 2. Twenty teams will compete in matches at three venues in the United States and six in the Caribbean.

Disney+ Hotstar to live stream 2024 T20 World Cup matches for free on mobile
In some good news for cricket fans, Disney+Hotstar will stream ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024 matches for free on its mobile app. On Monday 4 March, the YouTube Channel for Disney+Hotstar shared a promo for the upcoming T20 World Cup and confirmed that all games of the tournament will be streamed for free on the mobile app.
Earlier Disney + Hotstar had also live-streamed the 2023 Asia Cup and 2023 World Cup for free on its mobile app. To watch 2024 T20 World Cup matches on the web, fans who do not have a Disney + Hotstar subscription will have to buy one.
The ICC Men’s 2024 T20 World Cup kicks off with a contest between the USA and Canada at Grand Prairie Stadium in Dallas on June 2 and India’s first game on 5th June against Ireland at Nassau County International Cricket Stadium in New York. The most awaited match of the tournament will be held on 9th June between India and Pakistan in the same place in New York.
As many as 20 teams are taking part in the 2024 T20 World Cup, with a total of 55 games to be played. The teams have been divided into four groups of five each.
Apart from the Test-playing Nations Namibia, Scotland, Oman, Uganda, Papua New Guinea, Netherlands, and Nepal will also feature in the tournament Top two of each group will qualify for the Super 8s and will be followed by the semifinals and finals.
